Archos – the French smartphone manufacturing company has recently launched its latest rugged device, touted as the Archos Saphir 50X smartphone. The main highlight of the smartphone is that it comes with IP68 certification that means it is dust and water proof up to 1m of water for 30 minutes.

The smartphone features a 5.0 inches S-IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that carries the support for 720 x 1280 pixels screen resolution at 294 of ppi pixel density. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, which means the smartphone supports multi-window, direct reply from notifications, and new emojis.
It is powered by the Mediatek MT6737VWT quad core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz and for graphics; there is a Mali-T720MP2 graphics processor. On the storage front, the smartphone is equipped with 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of internal storage. The phone also comes with the support for MicroSD card for further storage expansion up to 128GB.
As far as the camera is concerned, the smartphone sports an 8 megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus, face detection and LED flash. While on the front of the device, there is a 2 megapixel front facing camera for capturing selfies and making video calls.
To power the device, there is a powerful Non-removable Li-Ion 4000 mAh battery buried inside it. The smartphone is available only in one color option, which is Black.
