Huawei has reportedly announced a new smartphone, Honor 8 Pro (also known as the V9 in China). Honor has added a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, a large 4,000 mAh battery alongside Huawei’s updated Kirin 960 octa-core processor, and 6 g gigabyte of RAM.
Honor 8 Pro Display
The new Honor 8 Pro has a 5.7-inch 2560 by 1440 resolution LTPS IPS display. That gives us 515 pixels per inch. Dimensions of the Honor 8 Pro are 157 by 77.5 by 7mm and it weighs in at a hefty 184g. Honor has opted for rounded corners and a matte aluminum finish instead of a glass back, and it really feels and looks like the iPhone 7.
Honor 8 Pro Features
Inside there is Huawei’s own Kirin 960 processor. This is an octa-core CPU, which is paired with the Mali-G71 MP8 GPU, and 6 gigabyte of RAM. Honor has included 64 gigabyte of storage internally, but there’s a micro SD card slot meaning that you can add even more storage, up to 256 gigabyte. Only the camera remains the same as the Honor 8, with a 12MP dual-camera system. One captures images in the RGB color, and the other one in monochrome.
