A new auto-follow drone has been launched by a kick start of last week in the form of MyDorne which is also equipped with a 4K Ultra HD camera and is being marketed as the world’s first compact multifunctional auto-follow drone. Aimed at cinematographers, sports enthusiasts, and those who looking to get into drones with limited knowledge, the MyDrone is features several auto-follow modes while recording video in 4K resolution. Control can be done through either the new MyDrone Sports Watch, giving users access to a variety of the settings for commanding the unit, or a manual piloting using the remote control with smartphone integration.

The flying drone comes equipped with brushless 2216 motors that delivers a top speed of 50mph, and its detachable 6000mAh rechargeable battery offers 10-22 minute flight time based on its flight speed.
The MyDrone features multiple advanced auto-follow features. All you need to do is just attach an included follow module on your arm or helmet, wear its sports watch on your wrist and turn it on, then press “take off”. The follow modes include simple follow, orbit, hover and aim, follow shadow, follow track, selfie, and follow-line.
Furthermore, MyDrone comes with a 3-axis auto-follow gimbal that features +-0.02 degree precision stabilization and 2000 times correction per second in order to deliver high-speed, stable and smooth aerial photography. Its included mini camera supports up to 4K video recording at 24 fps. Of course, you can attach your own GoPro to the gimbal.

The crowdfunding campaign for MyDrone is ongoing on Kickstarter. You can pledge $699 to preorder the 4K camera drone. If reaching its funding goal, the drone will be shipped in May this year.
