Nikon is now adding the KeyMission 170 and KeyMission 80 to its action camera series. And it is probably the biggest threat to GoPro there has been yet. The Nikon KeyMission 170 Action Camera captures an ultra-wide 170 degree angle of view in up to Ultra HD 4K resolution at 25/30 fps, enabling you to record an immersive view of your surroundings in high detail. You can capture Full HD 1080p video at up to 120 fps slow-motion, and 720p HD at 200/240 fps super-slow-motion, as well as high-resolution still images.
The KeyMission 170 also features internal electronic Vibration Reduction (for 1080p and 720p capture) which will reduce the effects of shakes and jitters in your outdoor adventures, providing you with a smoother image. A free-to-download playback app and Nikon control is also included with the camera that’s compatible with both iOS and Android mobile devices.
Nikon KeyMission 80 offers a candybar shaped form factor for one-handed recording with the press of a button. This action camera is a wearable camera designed for shooting quick stills and movies. It features a small NIKKOR lens for capturing the high quality images. There is a second camera with 4.9 million effective pixels and also a LCD monitor for capturing selfies on the go.
The KeyMission 80 action camera is waterproof up to 1 meter and shockproof up to 1.5 meter. This camera is coldproof up to -10 degree celsius like its larger cousin. The action camera is ideal for the use in outdoor activities like mountain climbing and trekking, fishing and camping.
The Keymission 170, and 80 are available for pre-order and will be shipping in October.
